Tickets available at the Weird City Theatre website. It’s about heroes, villains, monsters and the End of the World, and, thankfully, not about vampires.

There are so many issues with this production that it’s difficult to list them in brief:

Clocking in at over 2 hours. It is too long for this story.

The production relies heavily on slideshows to tell the story. The images or – rather drawings – therein, are neither compelling nor interesting. Making this a double whammy in the story telling.

There is a scene with a preacher who interacts with the crowd for what felt like 45 minutes. The trouble is, Church sucks. This scene should be drastically chopped down.

There’s something to be said for minimal set design and costumes. but this was unbearably barren.

In all this was the worst play I have ever seen; which is a shame because the story had promise and the cast seemed like a good lot of folk. 7/18/2010

oh no! even worse than “carrie”?

actually, that’s probably an overly smartassish remark, and i apologize. i wish i could disagree with some of the things you say, but i can’t. however, say what you will about the material, the actors worked their hearts out on this show, and i was truly honored for all their time and efforts.
